After Walter fixes the machine in the poison-filled tunnel, he witnesses his brother perish. Distraught, he informs Lufua that the anchel is no longer speaking to them. Lufua enrages and brutalizes Nzadi's corpse, which causes Mumengi to go mad with grief.
He joins his brother in death as Lufua kills him (or has him killed) while the party is away.
