Prologue
Chapter 1
While the party is missing for 6 months
- Immense sandstorm dubbed "Ardia's Fury" by the natives appears on the continent and stops Luxan advance towards the capital.
- Refugee crisis begins at the northern border, as people from the Heretic Mountains begin their exodus towards south.
- Chevell begins to militarize its eastern border in response to Jotunheim.
- Presidential election campaigns begin with the following candidates:
- Aeronautics professor R. Webster of the Eversley Institute, known for innovations that have put Chevell ahead of the other nations in airship technology, goes missing.
- A serial killer begins targeting female prostitutes in the capital. They are dubbed "V" due to the symbol they leave on their victims.
- Voidtouched "pilgrims", motivated by Luxan envoys operating in Chevell, embark on a perilous journey towards Lux Sanctus across the Barrier Sea.
- Eigan government loses all control over the country. The country descends into anarchy where groups of people are fighting monsters and each other over dwindling resources.
- Some kind of disaster begins to drive people of the mountains south towards Chevell.
- Jaana Grunvald becomes jarl of Jotunheim.
- Johan Grunvald attempts a coup in Jotunheim, but fails. Johan goes missing shortly after.
- Voidtouched Jotuni citizens are corralled into the capital by jarl's orders.
- Eigan refugees are arriving on ships to Jotunheim, but those of them who are voidtouched are separated from their families and taken somewhere.
- Jotunheim begins militarizing its western border. Chevell responds in kind.
- Saint Lucia urges for global peace summit to be held on neutral ground in Cen, to unite humanity against their common enemy.
- Xinguang's western army loses ground to Luxan invasion due to loss of supply lines.
- Eastern half of Xinguang is enveloped by mysterious black clouds, which stops Luxan advance towards the capital.
