The protector goddess of the Cenith wildlings. Master of all weapons, but often depicted with a spear and a shield.

Despite the many similarities to Ardia, the followers of An consider Ardia a false god worshipped by "heathens".

Unlike Ardia, who opposes Versa, An does not have an opposing deity.

Priests of An (Mumengi) imply that humanity has invoked Her wrath in ancient past by trying to usurp Her.

    Katinga's explanation

According to wildling priestess and princess Katinga, An is the ultimate being of spiritual purity that all humanity strives to become. It is unclear if she ever was a human.

An is the protector of humanity, which is why she is often depicted with a shield.

The way in which humanity increases their spiritual purity is by doing battle with and destroying monsters, manifestations of spiritual weakness and impurity.

The symbol of An has two interpretations:

    1. A cycle of death and rebirth, with life and afterlife separated by a horizontal line
    2. A shield and a spear

An wears a horned helmet. Unlike the Church of Ardia who associate horns with Versa and consider them a symbol of inhumanity and wickedness, wildlings consider horns a symbol of spiritual purity. This is why Katinga's own mask has horns.
