Sealed Versa to the Moon during the Banishing War. Has given up His physical manifestation in order to focus all of His power to maintain the seal on Versa.
Previous iterations

There is some evidence that there is another version, or iteration, of Ardia.
While being escorted out of the tomb of Elesh by queen Rem-Leneth, the party encounters a strange statue with a symbol that resembles the globally recognized symbol of Ardia, but with the "wings" missing.
Void's explanation
According to Void, Ardia is a cosmic parasite that feeds off of humanity's knowledge by cursing them into an eternal cycle of death and reincarnation. Without Ardia's meddling, humanity would eventually become gods.
Soul rescue
According to Micah Sellic, Ardia spends divine power to prevent voidtouched souls from being devoured by Versa upon death, causing them to later reincarnate on Novrand. This process is called soul rescue.
